Designed and built by JesseJames Design, this giant jigsaw puzzle desk was built specifically for South African advertising agency MetropolitanRepublic and their reception area. Pomme Chan's Caffe What If is certainly a place we'd love to go to. Everything from windows, to cushions, to tableware and upholstery, features her beautiful hand-drawn creations. She explains: "What If is a lifestyle brand, and since food and design are a big part of everyone’s lives, the idea of having a caffe and a showroom in one place seemed to be the answer. Located the Beaugrenelle Centre, the restaurant Éclectic is British designer Tom Dixon's cool tribute to 1970s architecture while incorporating the spirit of the resturant -- mixes of influences on the menu and space. See more photos here.
Mixed media artist Anila Quayyum Agha is behind this elaborately carved cube that uses an embedded light source to project its incredible pattern of shadows onto the surrounding gallery walls. The piece itself is called Intersections and the installation is made from large panels of laser-cut wood meant to draw inspiration from the geometrical patters found in Islamic sacred spaces.
